Tokens of Love by Gabriella Kiss

Gabriella Kiss’ delicate, figurative jewelry is at once poetic and scientific. Meticulously crafted in the finest materials, her precision reveals the awesome beauty of nature’s nuances. The daughter of a research scientist, Gabriella studied sculpture at New York’s Pratt Institute, learning to make wax models for casting, a technique that now defines her jewelry designs.

Through her renowned jewelry, Gabriella gracefully honors her enduring fascination with nature, with life cycles, with birth and death and the universe in between. Gabriella Kiss has an eye for the small and is drawn to detail, deriving inspiration from the flora and fauna of nature and the life cycles of the natural world and art history. The pieces are meant to have a personal meaning to the wearer, beyond adornment.

Paul Morelli…Collectible Brilliance

Paul Morelli has built his career as one of America’s preeminent jewelry designers upon seasonal collections marked by a profound attention to detail. Whether it’s the pristine architectural lines of his Diamonds on a Wire collection or the stylized botanical details in his nature-inspired pieces, his restless creativity, desire for innovation and careful attention to detail are the common threads that weave throughout his 25 year career. Paul works exclusively in 18-karat gold and platinum, favoring mostly diamonds and pearls, crafting these raw materials into fresh shapes and forms with every new collection.

PMWhile many designers have an instantly recognizable style, jewelry from the Paul Morelli studio is distinguished by its fine workmanship and technique rather than by a signature motif. The styles are fluid, but the artistry remains constant: as Paul explains it, “I design jewelry in the same way that fashion designers design clothes, creating fresh perspectives every season.”

Reinstein/Ross… Vow Worthy!

Reinstein/Ross was founded in 1985 by jewelry designer Susan Reinstein and her partner, gem expert Brian Ross. Using ancient, classical techniques, Reinstein/Ross goldsmiths create tiny treasures. Starting with ingots of pure 24k gold, durable shades of 18, 20, and 22 karat gold, with names like Chartreuse, Peach, and Apricot, are alloyed. These special blends are created to enhance both the gemstones and the wearer. Collars of gold, called bezels surround both cabochon and faceted stones. Covering the surface of many of the pieces is Granulation, a 5000-year-old technique in which tiny beads of gold are fused together in intricate patterns.

The subtle details of the jewelry could only be achieved by hand fabrication. The care that is taken with each piece is what makes Reinstein/Ross jewelry so special.

Find Your Timeless Treasure!

Elegant, organic, exciting: it is impossible not to appreciate the natural beauty of John Iversen jewelry. Born in Hamburg, Germany, John Iversen now calls Sag Harbor, New York, home. A master craftsman, he has been creating jewelry for over 30 years. Iversen’s foray into “Nature Casting” spans the gap between fine art and craft, and perfectly showcases his unparalleled talents in both arenas.

O P A L I C I O U S

“Inspired while backpacking through South America, Sara Freedenfeld learned to combine natural elements with knotted strings in order to create intricate forms of wearable art. Her passion blossomed after she met an artist in Venezuela who taught her how to link and mold metal. Launched in 2006, Freedenfeld’s line of jewelry, Amali, clearly portrays the South American influence of vibrant textiles and naturally colorful landscapes, and is highly distinguishable by its rich textures and elegant movement. Each piece is handcrafted from 18K yellow gold chains and a combination of precious and semi-precious gemstones, all in Freedenfeld’s Boston studio. Amali deeply reflects the artist’s complex aesthetic vision and a strong connection to everything she designs.

…Because who doesn’t love to feel pretty in pink?!

Polly Wales… Unconventional Beauty!

SPOTLIGHT ON: Polly WalesPolly uses multi-colored sapphires and rubies and raw diamonds directly cast into the gold, creating pieces that resemble natural gem encrusted forms, like sparkling geodes split open, or discoveries from the deep. This unorthodox process is unique to Polly and has become her signature style creating stunning, timeless treasures to cherish forever.

PW
“We make jewellery that never has a perfect moment”, Polly says. “The moment I’m talking about of shiny newness that somehow heralds the beginning of the end, resulting in jewellery that makes impossible demands to be kept pristine polished and safe guarded. The process behind the backbone of our work is to cast an array of gemstones inside precious metal, to create pieces that always have unique and slightly unpredictable outcomes with a rough luxe, ‘from the earth’ aesthetic-like geodes split open as stones break through at random points to penetrate the surface of the gold.”
